NYC-area flutist Nicole Schroeder Raimato made her Carnegie Hall debut as First Prize Winner of the 2014 International Shining Stars Concerto Competition.
According to the Epoch Times, “Schroeder played with a beautiful, well-projected tone undiluted by excess air, as well as subtly understated dynamics and lyrical phrasing.”
An avid musical theatre performer, Nicole has played both concert and world flutes in pit orchestras for the Broadway productions of Wicked and the Lion King; Off-Broadway productions of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, Suffs, and A Man of No Importance; and the North American Tour of The Lion King; and various productions at Paper Mill Playhouse.
In 2022, Nicole gave the New York premiere of the Gabriela Lena Frank piccolo concerto Will-
o’-the-Wisp with The Chelsea Symphony. A freelance flutist and piccolo player, she enjoys
playing in a wide variety of symphony orchestra, wind band, opera, choral, and ballet
performances across the region. As a member of The Chelsea Symphony, Nicole has appeared
on Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle, performed at Rikers Island, and collaborated with AJR and
Taylor Mac. She also regularly performs solo concerts for seniors through Concerts in Motion.

In addition to maintaining a busy performance schedule, Nicole teaches flute in her private
studio based in Maywood (Bergen County), NJ. She also serves on the board of directors of the
New Jersey Flute Society. Nicole holds a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from
New York University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Elizabethtown College.
